The Davao Region economy, and other banana-growing regions in Southern and Central Mindanao, could end up as rotten as rotten bananas if banana companies pack their bananas and bring them to other countries.
It’s been bad news after bad news lately, but the banana industry, and we’re talking about the lowly workers and its beneficiaries here, have taken a more proactive campaign to defend their human rights to a quality life that majorly depends on their economic fate.
